Avondale School sought to enhance its campus with a 500-seat auditorium that could serve dual purposes: a worship centre and a flexible event space. The brief required a compliant, thoughtfully integrated solution that worked with existing campus infrastructure and maintained smooth daily operations throughout the build.

A 500-Seat Auditorium Delivered with Precision
Avondale School required a 500-seat, dual-purpose auditorium and worship space, engaging Coverite Projects to deliver construction documentation and a compliant construction solution integrated with existing structures. Our team managed the full scope, from design finalisation and compliance through to construction delivery, featuring a soaring six-metre-high ceiling, custom-tiered seating, and a full-height timber acoustic panel system. By redesigning part of the build to integrate with an adjacent structure, we saved on costs and materials while improving access, staging construction around school hours to minimise disruption. The result is a compliant, acoustically optimised and flexible venue that supports chapels, performances and community gatherings, a space students and staff proudly call their own.
