The opportunity
This interior design project brought with it the usual challenges of maximising efficient usage of space within the office environment, however SDA wanted to bring with them some of the more playful elements of their former office including social areas and games area - creating flexible, fun and relaxing spaces within the functional day-to-day work spaces expected of a typical office environment.
How we helped
Coverite worked carefully with our client to ensure the functional requirements for the work spaces were met while challenging expectations around traditional work spaces and creating a social zone, centralised to the layout.
This innovative decision allowed the client to retain the fun factor in the design while retaining the essential functional aspects to everyday office life
The outcome
The resulting design is both pragmatic and idealistic, private and social, work and play. The use of glazed partitions to the perimeter offices allows natural light to spill through the space with a visual emphasis on the central social zone and stunning bush views to the south.
Clean modern finishes together with playful ceiling suspended acoustic clouds add to both the functionality and playfull nature of the space creating a unique design and successful realisation of the client brief.
