The opportunity
Avetta, a global leader in supply chain risk management, was expanding its Australian footprint and required a high-end commercial fitout for their new office in Newcastle’s Honeysuckle precinct. The project involved transforming a dormant rooftop tenancy, untouched for more than three years, into a modern, collaborative workspace that reflected Avetta’s global design standards.
With staff previously dispersed across three separate spaces in their King Street premises, the relocation provided an opportunity to bring the Newcastle team together under one roof, fostering stronger collaboration and operational efficiency.
How we helped
Coverite Projects delivered the full design and construct of Avetta’s $1.2 million Class 5 commercial fitout, managing every stage from concept to completion. Our team coordinated architecture, interiors, and construction to create a workspace that met global design standards while reflecting Newcastle’s character.
The new office was designed in line with Avetta’s universal branding guidelines, ensuring brand consistency across its international portfolio. Local craftsmanship was celebrated through bespoke elements, including a custom dining table crafted by Newcastle Timber Slabs.
Works included partitions and linings, internal glazing, fixed joinery, FF&E, and full building services, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, security, dry fire, and audio-visual systems. Given the rooftop location, materials handling required creative logistics using stairways, service lifts, and mobile cranage with traffic control. Throughout delivery, Coverite worked collaboratively with Avetta and the building manager to ensure a seamless result for all stakeholders.
The outcome
The result is a sophisticated rooftop office accommodating over 70+ workstations, multiple boardrooms, breakout zones, a full kitchen, bathrooms, showers, and private meeting rooms.
Delivered on schedule and with minimal disruption, the project enabled Avetta’s seamless relocation and immediate continuation of operations. The final space not only meets Avetta’s global standards but also reflects a refined local character, a workplace that unites their Newcastle team and positions them for continued growth in Australia.
This revitalised Honeysuckle tenancy is now a dynamic workspace that blends international design consistency with a distinctly Newcastle feel, a fitting reflection of Avetta’s global presence and Coverite’s expertise in delivering world-class commercial environments.
